Neighbourhood Plan
What is Neighbourhood Planning?
Neighbourhood planning, which was introduced by the Localism Act (November 2011), is a new way for communities to decide the future of the places where they live and work. It enables local communities to have more control over new housing, businesses, shops and community facilities in their local area and also may optionally suggest sites for development. They can also include more detailed planning policies, for example to define how new development should look.
