Parish CouncilWhat the Parish Council DoesThe Parish Council now comprises 10 members, 6 representing Sherfield-on-Loddon Ward and 4 representing Taylor's Farm Ward. Parish Council meetings are usually held on the second Wednesday of each month, in the Liddell Hall, in order to discuss issues affecting the village and its residents. An Open Forum session is always included to allow questions, comments and contributions from the general public. An Annual Parish Meeting is held in May, to which all residents are welcome to attend to hear reports from the Council.
Parish Council elections are held every four years, and were held in 2008. Any vacancies that arise between elections are filled either by holding a by-election or by co-option.
The Parish Council appoints a Clerk, a Litter Warden and a Tree Warden. Committees of the Council are appointed on an annual basis.
